“Barbara Croft’s short stories have a comfortable, old-fashioned way of getting their business going: they sit you down right there, where you are, and take hold, and take you a good long stretch farther than you expected–the best of them delighting, surprising, and even–oh clanky word–instructing. Primary Colors is a nifty debut.” –Gary Gildner
