Electronic Book Series

Note: the Electronic Book Series is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

Our electronic book series publishing slate is full for the foreseeable future, so we have elected to suspend the calls for submissions until we have published the titles we have already accepted. Thank you for your interest.

The Electronic Book Series is a collection of e-book-only publications of full-length speculative fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction manuscripts with strong literary merit. We read Action-adventure, Comic Misadventure, Crime, Detective, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction, Slipstream, Spy, Thriller/Suspense, Westerns, Young Adult, New Adult, Inspirational, and any sub-genre within and across these categories.

There is a $20 reading fee. Each author selected for publication will receive a $500 honorarium and a standard electronic book contract. All books will be distributed internationally through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing Market.

Submissions are accepted yearly, July 1 – October 1 through Submittable.

The Electronic Book Series is operated by Associate Editor Daniel A. Shudlick, a writer, editor, and publisher living in Fargo, ND. Mr. Shudlick received his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for fiction as well as his Certificate in Publishing from Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he was managing editor for the literary journal Red Weather. A former Graduate Assistant and intern for New Rivers Press and Teaching Assistant for MSUM, providing a lecture on interior design for the publication class along with individual classes, Mr. Shudlick brings a range of experience including manuscript collection, substantive editing, copy-editing, and designing to the Electronic Book Series.
